This testimonial, for me, is a fairly difficult task, purely because there are not enough, or adequate words to properly describe the skill and expertise of Dr Peter Hardcastle.
After a rather nasty fall, doctors and specialist visits, X-rays, I was eventually referred to Dr Hardcastle. He accommodated me with an appointment and arthroscopy at very short notice. What joy to wake up without a throbbing right knee. My pain free euphoria, was however short lived as I bashed the same knee the following week, which resulted in me needing a Total Knee Replacement.
Dr Hardcastle went to really great lengths to treat me in a way that would eradicate my pain and satisfy my medical aid restrictions.
The morning after my operation, through pain management and control, I was once again ready to take on the world. We had a couple of mishaps along the way, but I knew with certainty that every step was in the hands of this remarkable, skilled professional.
My admiration and respect for Dr Hardcastle knows no bounds and all I can say is a huge thank you for his dedication, compassion and care.
Right Total Knee Replacement | August 2021
Dear Dr Hardcastle,
Many thanks for the wonderful way you have fixed my knee problem. I have been able to walk, not hobble, without crutches, the knee feels a bit tight but no pain whatsoever.
I am doing some exercises to get the muscles working again. I am really amazed at how easy it is for me to resume my ‘normal‘ COVID life so quickly. Now I am planning our next holiday for mid-September!! Kruger here we come. I also would like to extend my thanks to all the staff at the hospital, they were so friendly and I was looked after superbly.
Did not expect this kind for service after my last op at the Vergelegen Medi-Clinic. Thanks again for your patience with changing the op dates a few times. See you for the next one. All the best, Marlies Stephan

Thank you for honouring me with this request to talk about my patient experience
After suffering knee pain for months, I visited Dr Peter Hardcastle and experienced the interest and care of an exceptional Doctor. His medical diagnoses of my condition extended far beyond the very successful knee surgery. Indeed, as an octogenarian of 81 years of age, there were other pre-operative considerations which at his instigation have been successfully treated to give me a second lease on life.
My grateful thanks runs deep to him and his staff, where Melissa, his receptionist, was the epitome of friendliness and efficiency in dealing with administration matters.
Indeed, an exceptional medical practice run by an exceptionally highly skilled and gifted Doctor.

Uni-compartmental Knee Replacement | June 2021
Dear Dr Arno Pretorius and Dr Peter Hardcastle
I am writing on behalf of Lesley and myself to thank you both for taking the time out of your busy schedules to attend to Lesley’s fractured elbow.
We are at present assisting my brother in law in fighting cancer and have spent the last two months packing up his home in Vryheid and relocating him to Somerset West. He has been living with us for the last two months and has drained Lesley physically and emotionally.
